Adonis trail
The enchanting Adonis blossoms only in our region and in the Saxon/Charrat region of Switzerland. It blooms from mid-March to mid-May.
In spring, the golden yellow roses are one of the first plants that the sun brings to the mountain meadows. On the Adonis Trail, you can admire its beauty on almost every meadow along the path. This unique flower is named after Adonis, the symbol of beauty in Greek mythology.
The Adonis rose is very special, protected and historically interesting.
The Adonis flower blooms between mid-March and mid-May. However, the trail is accessible all year round. Snowshoes are recommended when there is snow.
Possible variants for a partial hike or other starting points:
Turtmann and/or Unterems by public transport via the Turtmann-Unterems-Oberems cable car.

The bus stop «Soleil» is served by buses coming from Leuk or Visp. Not all connections from the Turtmann train station are served by the minibus to the village (please check the timetable).
Playgrounds in Unterems (at the old school building and above the village «Chänilmatte» approx. 10 min.)
On the way, at the place of «Chastlära», you will come across the famous Kastleren chapel, which also offers a magnificent view of the Rhone valley and, in particular, most of the nature park Pfyn-Finges.
